So, I still have a little over a month before I have to return to my busy school life (all work and no play). My birthday is coming up on the 12th, so I will be having a nice relaxing weekend with family. Before I go back to school, I really want to create a few more poster designs. Currently, I have six projects in mind. My ideas consist of ONE more Dark Knight Rises poster, one reboot in the works for 2013, one novel adaptation for 2013, two possible sequels in mind, and one fictional reboot. I do not want to make any promises because I admittedly can be lazy with my designs, but I plan for them to be awesome!

To start off, the Epic Movie Poster contest has ended. I was shocked and surprised to see that I had won the MoviePoster.com Award and came in 2nd place for a series. Although I am sure that I may not have been a fan favorite, still extremely honored and happy to be amongst such amazing talent. I did not find one entry that I felt had nothing to offer.

     So... what now? I have been trying to get my creative juices flowing and decide what to do next. Unfortunately, I have yet to come up with an idea for my next piece. I have been going through my gallery to see what people seem to like the most and judging from the number of favorites, it would seem that my Batman work and my 'Friends' work seem to be the most popular. I may spend a bit of time creating another Friends picture, but I have not come up with a solid idea for that project. For anyone who may take the time to read this journal entry, suggestions are welcome. Due to some inspiration created by some awesome horror manipulations I have seen recently, I have I few ideas that I might play around with if I have the time to do so.

     I have recently been contemplating what my future may hold. I am currently a college student and have been going through the motions for some time now, but I am still not sure where my path will take me. I have narrowed the options down to Computer Programming or Graphic Design. Being that this is an art website, I have an obvious interest in this type of work, I am just not sure how far it could take me. I have just finished a class that teaches the fundamentals of programming and I must say, it was not easy but enjoyable.  Tough decisions...

     Well, that about covers it for now. To all of my fellow movie poster makers, photo manipulators, digital artists, and fans of all art; keep doing what you do best!

As you can see, I have now obtained a premium membership here at dA. Now I am permitted access to all of the wonderful perks and gadgets that are available, so you may notice some re-designing here and there. I have set up a few new sections displaying some of my favorites from my own work, as well as favorite posters from some awesome poster artists. Since this is my first day, I am not too familiar with all of the bells and whistles. So, I still may have more additions.

     Epic Movie Poster Contest 2011 – I have been having a blast creating posters for the faux movie selections that Screeners has provided. I have them featured to the left, so I am sure that you have seen them. I still have one (or two) more poster(s) to create, so I am still waiting for that light bulb to go off in my brain. There is a lot of tough competition, so it has been awesome.

     I am going to make my best effort to be more involved with dA and the groups that I belong to. I have been adjusting to several different elements of life. I have been juggling my regular '9 to 5' job, becoming pharmacy technician certified, and working toward my Bachelor's degree. I have been hoping to have a bit of time for poster making, but it has been difficult. I will still do my best to work in some extra time for dA.

     Well, that about sums it up. Back to more programming code!
