Poster for the movie "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" created for the

2011 "Santa Poster Exchange"

I made this for

Pretty happy with how this one turned out. I was able to get my old dinosaur of a computer to load up Cinema 4D long enough to render a 3D title using the Planet Of The Apes font. I spent a bit of time editing out the cars and people in the background, only to come to the realization that they were going to be covered up for the most part anyways.

I originally planned to cover the whole bridge with monkeys, but I couldn't find the right stock images and I came to the conclusion that it would just clutter the picture. I only used one image from the movie, which was Caesar and only because he is a bad ass looking primate! I REALLY like the tagline "Evolution Becomes Revolution" but I wanted to be different.

I actually haven't seen this movie or even the 2001 Planet Of The Apes. Making this poster has gotten me in the mood to see it. Andy Serkis is plays the role of Caesar, who was also in the movie of my last poster, Lord Of The Rings.
